After an even first-half, Slokavia took the lead through Robert Vittek five minutes after the break but allowed New Zealand back into the game in the third minute of injury time when defender Winston Reid converted Shane Smeltz's precise cross.

Argyle have fielded players who have played in World Cup Final, like Taribo West; players who have played in World Cup qualifiers; like current captain Carl Fletcher and players who have travelled World Cup finals while at Home Park and not played, like George Roberts.

However, Rory is the first Pilgrim to play in a World Cup finals match whilst an Argyle player.
