ARGYLE winger Yala Bolasie has extended his stay at Home Park until the summer of 2012.
Yala put pen to paper on a new deal as he and his colleagues returned to training under new manager Peter Reid after their summer break.
"I'm happy to sign another two years," said the 21-year-old midfielder after his morning's work at Marjon on Wednesday.
Last season was a breakthrough one for Yala, after previous loan spells at Barnet and Rushden & Diamonds.
For Yala, though, his emergence as a first-team regular was not a shock.
"I worked hard for it, so it didn't come as a great surprise," he said. "Now, I've got to do that again this season.
"I want to be in the 11 on the first day of the season, but not just that - all season, and show some consistency."
Meanwhile, former Argyle left-back Gary Sawyer, 24, has joined the Pilgrims' npower League One rivals Bristol Rovers after the expiry of his Home Park contract in the summer.
