RORY Fallon has been given extra time off to recover from the exertions of playing in the World Cup.
Rory played all three games in New Zealand's brave battle in South Africa before their elimination from the tournament, despite avoiding defeat.
The Kiwi striker will return to Home Park in mid-July to join his Argyle team-mates in preparing for the new npower League One season.
"It is only fair that he gets another two-and-a-half weeks because he is going to be shattered," said manager Peter Reid.
Zimbabwean defender Onismor Bhasera has also been absent from the first two days of pre-season after seeing his doctor in South Africa.
"He had to see his doctor and we thought it would be wise for him to have the check-up first," said head coach Paul Mariner. "He had a little cist, which has been removed."
Elsewhere on the health front, striker Alan Gow will be working with physio Paul Atkinson after feeling a slight tweak in his hamstring.
"He was doing some work by himself and he tweaked a hamstring, so he will be with the physio," said Reid.
