PITCH PERFECT

Posted on: Tue 10 Aug 2010

ARGYLE manager Peter Reid is delighted with the new Home Park playing surface.

After replacing the pitch in the summer, Reid's men trained on the new turf for the first time on Monday ahead of Tuesday's Carling Cup clash with Notts County.

"We trained on it today and it's very good impressive," said Reid. "It is conducive to really good football and a great surface. You can zip the ball around on it, especially with a little bit of rain on it.

"I saw the pitch on TV last season and this seems a good investment for the football club. It is money well spent."
