PROFESSIONAL DECISION

Posted on: Mon 16 Aug 2010

THE decision to replace Rory Fallon after just 37 minutes of the weekend draw with Carlisle was based purely on an assessment of the game.

Manager Peter Reid felt a change was required and he is now looking to improve Fallon's form with hard work.

"I had to change it on Saturday because I didn't think we were getting anything out of it," said Reid.

"It was a professional decision by me. It's not based on the crowd reaction or something like that. It was my decision on how I felt the game was going. The boy just needs football matches.

"He's off the pace but he's six foot four and has all the attributes for a target-man - we just need to get it out of him."
