YOUTH coach Adam Sadler is helping out with the first-team after the departure of John Carver to join the new management team at Sheffield United.
Following a recommendation from Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce, Sadler arrived at Argyle this summer after former youth coach Mike Pejic's move to Ipswich Town.
Manager Peter Reid will further assess the coaching situation once Saturday's game at Walsall has been played.
"Adam will be helping out with the first-team," said Reid. "We will get the game out of the way and take stock of things.
"It was a big recommendation from Sam Allardyce. He's [Sadler] got all the badges from coaching at Newcastle with Sam, and I think Sam wanted to take him to Blackburn but he couldn't.
"He's done everything and has big experience with the youth, and first-team, so he'll have no problem.
"We will have a chat because he came in with the youth and he's really enjoyed that. This has happened so quick that we haven't had the time to talk about it."
