ARGYLE manager Peter Reid will stick with the strike-pairing of Joe Mason and Rory Patterson for Saturday's visit of Peterborough to Home Park.

Mason struck a wonderful finish in last Saturday's loss at Walsall and Patterson scored a dramatic equaliser against Carlisle a week before.

Reid was pleased with their movement as a pair at Walsall but he has challenged them to hit the target with more regularity on Saturday.

"Mason and Patterson will play up front again tomorrow," said Reid. "I was pleased with Joe's finish for the goal.

"I was also pleased with the amount of chances we created, but we have got to learn to hit the target.

"The young boy (Mason) is still learning the game, but I thought some of the movement between them was excellent.

"I think they are lads who will score goals. They are two different types of players but they will work defences."

"We created about half-a-dozen decent chances last Saturday, but the biggest thing for me was we didn't work the goalkeeper enough.

"The one shot that was on target went in the net. Out of six good chances, we have got to get more on target.

"I thought in the second half, when we were under pressure, the hold-up play could have been better. It kept coming at us a bit too much and that's something we need to work on. When you are under pressure, the front men are the first line of defence."
