ARGYLE defender Chris Barker has joined Southend United in a permanent switch from Home Park.
The full-back joined up with former Pilgrim boss Paul Sturrock after a successful one-month loan spell at Roots Hall at the start of the season.
Chris, 30, was signed by Luggy for the Pilgrims on the eve of the 2008-09 season and made 42 appearances in that campaign.
A severe calf injury in pre-season 12 months ago kept him out until the festive period of last season and he drifted in and out of the team in the closing months of the campaign.
