MAXIME Blanchard has extended his stay at Home Park until the end of the season, subject to Football League and FA approval.
The French defender initially signed for the Pilgrims in November following a successful trial.
Now, with Max having been an ever present in the heart of defence since the 4-1 win over Northampton, Argyle manager Carl Fletcher has moved to keep the former Tranmere Rovers man for the rest of the campaign.
Fletch said: "Max came in and has showed the hunger and desire that we wanted.
"We had him on a short-term deal to begin with, and we are pleased to extend that until the end of the season.

"It's a great opportunity for him, and we hope he carries on in the vein he has since he's been here."
Maxime began his career in his native France with Laval before moving onto L'Entente SSG.
A season with Moulin followed before he joined Tranmere Rovers at the beginning of last season, making 20 appearances for Les Parry's side.
