CAPALDI CALL-UP

Posted on: Mon 05 Mar 2007

ARGYLE record-breaker Tony Capaldi has been called-up to the Northern Ireland squad for the forthcoming European Championship Qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Sweden.

Capaldi broke the record for international appearances made by an Argyle player when he notched up his 21st cap in the friendly match with Wales last month - beating an 80-year old Pilgrims' best held by Welshman Moses Russell.

Northern Ireland will travel to Vaduz to face Liechtenstein on Saturday, March 24 before taking on Sweden at Windsor Park four days later.
