FRENCH defender Mathias Doumbe began the 2008-09 season as Argyle's longest-serving outfield player.
Mat, who possess great pace and strength, started his career with Paris St Germain as a central midfielder, playing alongside the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha and Nicolas Anelka.
He then made the move to Hibernian where he was quickly converted to a centre-back by boss Bobby Williamson. MKD spent three years at Easter Road before following Williamson down to the south coast.
Mat has made over 100 appearances for Argyle and there are few who would deny him another 100 in green.
This season has been a peculiar one for the amiable Frenchman, with much of his campaign spent in an unfamiliar right-back role.
