ARGYLE signed Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale on loan for one month in January 2010.
Stockdale, 24, played in a behind-closed-doors fixture with the Pilgrims and caught the eye of the watching John Carver.
The Leeds born shot-stopper joined Fulham from League Two Darlington in 2008, on a two-year deal.
Stockdale came through York City's youth system and made over 40 appearances for Darlington during the 07/08 season.
He gained valuable experience on loan to Leicester City during the second half of last season and returned to Craven Cottage in May 2009.
Stockdale was handed his Barclays Premier League debut on September 13 against Everton at Craven Cottage.
His impressive performance during Fulham's 2-1 victory over David Moyes' side was rewarded four days later when Roy Hodgson handed the keeper his European debut against CSKA Sofia in the Europa League.
Stockdale signed an extension to his contract in December 2009 which will keep him at the Club until the summer of 2013.
David made his Argyle debut in the 1-0 victory over Derby County at Home Park in January.
