EBANKS-BLAKE is an aggressive striker who plays the game to score goals. He is quick, powerful, determined and a constant threat in the opposition penalty box.
Sylv began his career at Manchester United and formed an excellent partnership with Guiseppe Rossi in the reserve team at Old Trafford.
He made his made his debut for the Red Devils in a Carling Cup tie against Crewe in October 2004, and a year later he scored in his next appearance for the club against Barnet in the same competition.
Despite suffering a broken leg at the end of the 2004-05, Ebanks-Blake quickly returned to fitness and became Ian Holloway's first signing as Argyle manager in July 2006.
His first goal in Argyle colours came on the club's pre-season tour of Austria, and what a goal it was. 'Sylv' controlled a cross on the volley and fired a spectacular overhead-kick into the top corner.
The Pilgrims paid £200,000, potentially rising to £300,000, for his services and his sensational finish to the season fully justified that fee.
Sylv ended his first full season in professional season with 10 goals and few would bet against him improving on that figure this season.
