DEFENDER Krisztián Timár began his career with Ferencváros in his native Hungary, but made his professional debut for Videoton.
The Beast, as Timár is affectionately known, joined Finnish outfit Jokerit in 2002 before returning home to join Tatabánya a year later. A stint with Nyiregyháza Spartacus preceded a return to Ferencváros in 2005.
After two years back at his first club, Kris and compatriot Péter Halmosi joined Argyle on loan in January 2007 and the pair sufficiently impressed to win permanent deals the following summer.
The cult of Timár thus began and the Beast picked up the club's Player of the Season award in his first full campaign as a Pilgrim.
Sadly, a horrific head injury sustained on the final day of that unforgettable season seemed to blight Kris for much of the following campaign, most of which was spent on the bench.
He started last season by scoring the first goal of the campaign after just five minutes at Crystal Palace but again drifted out of contention. Head coach Paul Mariner sent Kris out on loan at Oldham in January 2010 but a severely torn hamstring ended his season.
Up to the summer of 2010, Kris had won four international caps for Hungary.
