ABDOU is a strong tackling midfielder in the Claude Makelele mould. He has a fantastic engine and no shortage of ability on the ball.
Jimmy began his career with home-town club Martigues in his native France. He joined Sedan in 2003 and later enjoyed a season in the French top-flight with the club.
He impressed manager Ian Holloway while on trial with the Pilgrims in the summer of 2007 and signed on a free transfer in August.
