YOUNG winger Craig Noone signed for Argyle from non-league Southport in August 2008 for an undisclosed fee that could rise to £100,000.
Liverpudlian Noone had only been at Southport for a few weeks, and played just one league game, having been taken there by Sandgrounders manager Liam Watson after the pair worked together at fellow Conference North side Burscough last season.
Prior to joining Burscough, former Wrexham trainee Craig had a trial with Manchester United's feeder club Royal Antwerp
Since moving to Haigh Avenue in the summer, he has been the subject of interest from a host of clubs, with Argyle winning the race to sign him after a ringing endorsement from chief scout Andy King.
Just days before he signed professional forms with the Pilgrims, Noone was working as a roofer on Merseyside.
The tricky winger has continued his sensational rise to stardom with a number of mesmerising displays as a late substitute for the Greens.
