SCHOOLBOY goalkeeper Christian Walton got his first taste of professional football when he was included in the Pilgrims' 18-man squad for an FA Cup tie with Stourbridge.

Walton has been involved with the club for over six years, and is a product of our Bodmin Advanced Development Centre.

He signed Centre of Excellence forms at the age of ten in September 2006, when he was still a pupil at Wadebridge Primary School.

Although young enough to still play for the under-16's, Kevin Hodges has selected him for every under-18 game in the Football League Youth Alliance so far this season, as well as including him in Argyle XI games against adult opponents, such as Evo-stick Premier League Weymouth plus South Western Peninsular clubs Buckland Atletic and Dartmouth.
