MIDFIELDER Chris Clark began his career with Aberdeen and made over 200 appearances for the Dons in over ten years at Pittodrie.

The industrious Clark played most of his football for Aberdeen in the centre of midfield, although he was also used as a wide midfielder and emergency full-back on a number of occasions.

He continued that versatility with Argyle after joining for £200,000 in January 2008. Clark introduced himself to the Green Army with a terrific goal five minutes into his debut in a FA Cup defeat at Portsmouth, the only goal Pompey would concede on their way to winning the famous old trophy.

Clark was a constant feature in the Argyle side throughout the 2008-09 season but fell out favour at the start of last season.

The emergence of Paul Mariner as head coach coincided with a return to form for Clark and his consistent performances in the wide positions were a welcome relief in a difficult campaign.
