The Pilgrims ruthlessly over powered the Saints in a terrific display that had watching Head Coach Paul Mariner purring.

"It was a fantastic game and we played some sparkling football," he said. "Reserve games can occasionally be difficult but the lads were extremely professional.

"There was some wonderful passing, movement and long-range shooting, and the work-rate was tremendous. The senior players led by example and the youngsters responded superbly well."

The Green fun started with Noone completing a cohesive move with a neat finish in the first ten minutes and the young hosts found their misery compounded by Mason's easy goal moments later.

The goal of the night was number three, with Noone crashing home a stunner from distance. Bradley Wright-Phillips completed the first-half scoring.

Mason added two more soon after the break to round off an excellent hat-trick and a superb night was concluded with Liam Head scoring a seventh.
