NEXT GUEST
LILIAN Nalis will be the special guest at the Senior Greens meeting on Thursday, November 29 - the afternoon kicks-off at 2pm in the Far Post Club.
The Senior Greens is not just restricted to 'seniors'. In fact, all age groups are welcome.
Most meetings involve an announcement from the chairman, Derek Baker, before he moves aside for a guest speaker. Recent speakers have included Argyle Chairman Paul Stapleton as well as certain former managers.
Raffle tickets are sold on the day and there is tea and refreshments available before a question and answers session with the speaker and a chance to gain autographs.
Being a Senior Green costs only £4 per season including two free buffets, one at Christmas and the other at the end of the season. Membership fees also go towards all things Argyle. Last year's donations went to the Plymouth Argyle Disabled team and also to the Ladies team.
Last season, the Senior Greens went on a tour of Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium and this season there is a plan to go to Wembley.
The Plymouth Argyle Senior Greens is well organised and there is always a packed programme. A small but hard-working committee work tirelessly to insure that even on the wettest, darkest winter's day, the Senior Greens is always well attended.
