ARGYLE fans will find getting in to Home Park this season a whole new experience.

Season-ticket holders have been issued with an access card to help them gain admission to the Theatre of Greens.

The access card appears to be the same as last season's membership cards. However, there is now a barcode printed on the bottom right-hand corner.

Similarly, each single match-ticket will have a barcode printed on it.

On match-days, the Home Park turnstile operators will scan the barcode with a handheld scanner and read the information that it contains.

This sends the information back to the main system at the Box Office. A signal is then sent back to the scanner to inform the turnstile operator whether it is a valid card or ticket for the particular match.

If it is valid, the supporter will be permitted entry in the normal way.

The process, which takes seconds, precludes the need to carry a book of vouchers, and gives the club an accurate report of what season-tickets and match tickets have been used.
