ARGYLE will again not be levying a pay-on-the-day surcharge for their match tickets this season.
Prices to watch the Pilgrims in their forthcoming npower League 2 campaign will be the same, whether a fan buys a match ticket three minutes, three hours, three days or three weeks before the game.
The price of an adult ticket anywhere in Home Park is just £20, while there are concessions for 65 year-olds and over (£15) and under 18 year-olds (£7).
Argyle's acting chairman Peter Ridsdale said: "We wanted to keep things simple and not be seen to perhaps penalise fans who cannot, for one reason or another, buy their ticket until match-day.
"Our match-day prices compare more than favourably with our npower League 2 rivals and are competitive with other leisure pursuits."
Even though match tickets represent good value for money, by far the cheapest way of supporting Argyle during the season is to buy a season-ticket: compared to paying match-day prices, an adult season-ticket holder effectively gets six games a season free.
In other changes, there will be fewer cash turnstiles operating on match-days at Home Park during the 2011-12 season, and none at all for the Mayflower terrace seating.
For that reason, the club is encouraging supporters to buy their tickets in advance of match-day whenever possible.
