Oliver Chenoweth: (Goalkeeper): Aged 16.
Born February 17, 1992
From Liskeard, the only apprentice to come from Cornwall. Attended Liskeard Community College and played regularly for the Cornwall Schools under-16 team. A product of the PAYD Development Centre based at Stoke Climsland, he first signed Centre of Excellence for the Pilgrims as a 13-year-old in November 2005. Made a brief appearance at Home Park for Argyle's youth team last August, as a substitute in the Duchy College Cup victory over Latvia.

Liam Head: (Striker): (Striker): Aged 16.

Born January 26, 1992
From Bovey Tracey, and a former pupil of South Dartmoor Community College, Ashburton. Made five starts + one substitute appearance for last season's England international under-16 team that won the Victory Shield for the seventh successive season last autumn, as well as triumphing in the prestigious Montaign tournament in France last Easter. Also helped Devon win last season's national schools under-16 cup. Joined Argyle as a 13-year-old in April 2005. Made one full appearance plus two as a substitute for Argyle's youth team last season, and impressed manager Paul Sturrock when he had a 30-minute substitute appearance for the Reserves in the 4-1 win over Cheltenham Town at Home Park last April.

Sean Kinsella: (Midfielder): (Midfielder): Aged 16.

Born October 25, 1991
From Stone in Staffordshire. An ex-pupil of Walton High School, Stafford, he played for last season's Staffordshire Schools under-16 team. Spent the last six years at Stoke City's Academy, but was surprisingly released last February, and signed for Argyle in March. Created a favourable impression with his cultured passing in three full outings plus one as a substitute in the closing weeks of the Young Pilgrims' Puma Youth Alliance South-west Championship winning campaign.

Ryan Leonard: (Midfielder): Aged 16.
Born May 24, 1992
From Chaddlewood, near Plympton. Also played for Devon Schools' under-16's last season, but was handicapped by a series of injuries during the course of the campaign. The first graduate from the Ivybridge Community College Football Academy, set up by former Argyle Head of Youth Stuart Gibson.four years ago, to become an apprentice. Joined the club initially, aged nine, back in June 2001.

Born November 11, 1991
From Yeovil. Attended Preston High School in Yeovil. Played for Somerset Schools' under-16 team that reached the quarter-finals of last season's national competition. First signed Centre of Excellence forms for the Pilgrims as a 13-year-old in April 2005.

Jordan Trott: (Left Back): Aged 16.
Born October 9, 1991
From Pennycross, just up the road from Home Park. Ex-pupil of St. Boniface's Catholic College. Scored one of the spot-kicks that brought Devon Schools' under-16's their penalty shoot-out triumph in the national cup last May. Another to join the club initially as a nine-year-old, in May 2001. Made two starts plus two substitute appearances for Argyle in last season's successful Youth Alliance league campaign.

Chinua Troupe; (Right Back): Aged 16.
Born September 15, 1991
From Druids Heath, Birmingham. Used to attend Baverstock High School, Birmingham. Previously with West Bromwich Albion's Academy but released last February. Can also play as a right winger, but impressed in two starts plus two substitute appearances at full back for the Pilgrims during March and April.

ASHLEY HODGKINSON (Centre-back): 17, born September 14, 1990.
From Kidsgrove in Staffordshire. Second-year apprentice. Previously at Stoke City's Academy, he joined the Pilgrims as a schoolboy in March 2007, was up-graded to apprentice three month later and went on to become one of the stalwarts of last season's successful youth team,. Likes to join in the attack at set-pieces.

BEN GERRING (Centre-back):17, born January 1, 1991.
From Torquay. Second-year apprentice, who first signed Centre of Excellence forms in 2004. At six-foot-five, he is an imposing figure, an advantage he is keen to exploit at free-kicks and corners. Member of the Devon schools' U16 team that won the national cup in 2007.

RYAN BRETT (Left-back): 17, born November 11, 1990.
From Plympton. Second-year apprentice who originally signed Centre of Excellence forms in May 2000. Another member of the successful Devon schools U16's squad of 2007. Made good progress in his first season of full-time training.

LEWIS EDWARDS: (Right-winger): 17, born January 5, 1991.
From Plympton. Second-year apprentice, who originally joined our Centre of Excellence in September 2002. Yet another member of the successful Devon schools U16 side of 2006/07. His speed and ability to take defenders on both their right and left sides, means he can also play left wing.

BRIAN McCAUL: (Midfielder) 17, born August 6, 1990.
From Belfast. Second-year apprentice. Recruited from leading Ulster club, Linfield. A creative passer, he too became a key member of our youth team last season. Gained Northern Ireland U17 international honours two seasons ago and U16 caps the season before, he has already been included in the Irish U19 squad's early preparations for this season's UEFA Championships.

GREG MOSELEY: (Midfielder): 17, born October 4, 1990.
From Hope Valley, Derbyshire. Second-year apprentice. Previously with the Derby County and Stoke City Academies, he joined Argyle as an apprentice in June 2007. A constructive player with a good engine, he has proved a capable deputy for Dan Gosling in last season's F.A. Youth Cup run following the latter's £1m-plus transfer to Everton. Can also play left back or left wing.

JOE MASON (Striker): 16, born May 13, 1991.
From Peverell. Second-year apprentice. A pacy player, who often played as a right winger last season. Began attending our Centre of Excellence in 2000. Played for Eire U16's two seasons ago, qualifying because his mother hails from Co. Mayo, and last season was on standby for their U17 UEFA Championships squad. Another member of the successful Devon schools' U16 team of 2007. 2007/08 Playing Record:

JOSH GRANT: (Striker): 17, born December 18, 1990.
From Kingsand, near Torpoint. Second-year apprentice, who first signed Centre of Excellence forms in 2004. Made his Reserve team debut the following season, when still an U15 schoolboy. Scored five goals in last season's 10-0 away win over Toolstation Western Leaguers, Elmore, in the Westinsure Devon F.A. St Luke's Bowl.
