LOCAL access company LTC Group87 Ltd will be helping to take the Argyle Youth team to new heights after signing a lucrative new sponsorship deal with the club.

The two-year agreement between the Pilgrims and LTC will be a boost for youth-team coach Mike Pejic's continued quest to cherry-pick the best young footballers available, and prepare them for the rigours of the professional game.

Argyle Head of Sales & Marketing Steve Davies said: "It is very pleasing to have a local company ready to lend their support to the future development of Argyle youngsters.

"We are very hopeful that further youth players will break into the first-team over the period of this agreement."

LTC Managing Director Mike Burr added: "It is an exciting time for our company, agreeing a partnership deal with Plymouth Argyle.

"We believe it is important to support organisations such as Plymouth Argyle and helping to progress the Youth set up is a worthwhile and rewarding project,"

This is the first time in Argyle's history that the club's under-18 team has had its own shirt sponsor, and besides boosting the Young Pilgrims, the deal is also beneficial to leading local club Elburton Villa.

For the Greens are using part of the sponsorship monies to secure an agreement to have use of Elburton Villa's ground at Haye Road on which to play their home under-18 and under-16 team games in the Football League Youth Alliance on Saturday mornings

The cash from their agreement with Argyle will assist Elburton Villa to proceed with their plan to install floodlights at Haye Road at the start of the season.
