BROUGHT BACK AGAIN
ARGYLE'S much-delayed home second round Youth Alliance Cup-tie against Millwall will now take place this Friday eveing at Plymouth Parkway's Bolitho Park ground, kick-off 7.45pm.
The game was due to be be played on Saturday, when heavy rain is forecast, so It has been brought forward to try to avoid a fourth postponement.
The match is a repeat of the fourth round FA Youth Cup-tie played at Home Park almost exactly a year ago, when the Young Pilgrims emerged narrow 3-2 winners.
Thirteen of the Young Lions on view that evening are still young enough to play on Saturday, whereas the Pilgrims only have five survivors left from the Youth Cup-tie available in defenders Ryan Leonard and Jordan Trott, midfielders Sean Kinsella and Luke Young, and striker Liam Head.
The winners of tomorrow's tie already have been drawn to travel to Gillingham in round three.
Meanwhile a new date has also been fixed for Argyle's away second round tie in the Devon FA's Westinsure St. Luke's Cup at Carlsburg South-west Peninsular Premier League title chasers Buckland Athletic.
It will take place at their Homers Heath ground in Newton Abbot next Tuesday, January 19, kick-off 7.15pm, with extra time and penalties possibly being necessary to ensure a result on the night.
As a consequence, the home totesport.com Combination fixture against Swindon Town scheduled for that afternoon will need to be re-arranged, as County Cup games take priority.
