A Call To Arms

THE Argyle Arms will open for business this weekend, with the promise of a free draught pint and a pasty for Pilgrims' Members.

Two food and drink outlets in the Devonport end of Home Park have been transformed by St Austell Brewery this summer, creating a pub atmosphere and adding to Argyle fans' match-day experience.

They will serve draught beer, with Tribute – the flagship ale of official brewery partner St Austell Brewery – being available, as well, and open early to allow the Green Army to meet for a drink and watch the lunchtime televised match before Argyle's own game.

This Saturday, before the Pilgrims take on Aldershot in their npower League 2 opener, the Argyle Arms will roll up its shutters to Members and non-Members alike at 12.30pm – an hour before the usual gate-opening.

To mark its official opening, as an added bonus, the first 250 Members through the turnstiles before 1.30pm will receive a free pint, courtesy of St Austell Brewery.

Not only that, they will also receive a free pasty from Pilgrim Pasties, our new pasty suppliers for 2012-13, as voted for by Herald readers.

Beer, TV football - Wolves v Leeds this weekend - and a pasty - surely the perfect fans' warm-up for an Argyle game.

Did you know...
...that all our pasties will be from local suppliers?
