Message From Pompey Fans

WE have received the following message from the Pompey Independent Supporters' Association.

They have given us kind permission to publish it for the benefit of the Green Army.

"Pompey Independent Supporters Association wish to acknowledge the backing that the Plymouth community are giving to a fellow football community in difficulty.

"PISA were founding fathers of the Pompey Supporters Trust and we were happy to give advice to those Plymouth supporters who were involved in setting up your own Trust.

"The Dockyard Derby on Tuesday will see PFC struggling to field a team but as ever, the spirit of the fans will be in evidence and the efforts of those involved with PAFC in helping our cause have been noted and are the subject of much respect in the city of Portsmouth.

"Having experienced similarly difficult times, the Pilgrims are still fighting the cause as a beacon in the Westcountry and we are a similarly distinctive club in being representative of the UK's only Island City.

"Two great clubs that will never die."
