Willo's Here To Stay

THE scorer of Argyle’s first league goal of the 2012-13 campaign believes the winless Pilgrims have nothing to fear from npower League 2 this season.

Defender Willo came on as an interval substitute at Oxford on Saturday and scored Argyle’s goal in the 2-1 defeat as well as contribution to a second-half clean sheet in a much-improved display.

The Yorkshireman’s reappearance came after a midweek talk with manager Carl Fletcher, and he aims to keep his place for Tuesday’s Capital One Cup tie at Burnley and the following npower League 2 matches.

“I had a word with the gaffer last week and he said he was trying things,” said Robbie. “I’ve missed the first three games. Hopefully, now I can stay in the team.

“You need to start well in any league. We are only three games in, and have got a big game this week against Northampton at home and Torquay away after that.

“They are two massive games. If we nick six points, or four points, [the Oxford] game gets forgotten about.

“We’ll see. We’ve got nothing to lose on Tuesday night against Burnley away. Then we’ll look forward to next Saturday.”
