Lowry Signs

ARGYLE have signed midfielder Jamie Lowry.

Lowry, 25, has been on trial with the Pilgrims for the last few days following his release from Chesterfield at the end of last season.
Although most at home in the centre of midfield, Jamie also has experience at right-back and can also be deployed anywhere across the midfield.
Argyle manager Carl Fletcher was pleased to add another dimension to his already talented squad.
Fletcher said: "Jamie's signed today which is great.
"He's originally from Newquay, so he knows the area.
"He's a lovely guy, he can play anywhere along the midfield and at right back so for us to have that option is great.
"But no one has a position at the moment.
"As it stands, I've got 23 players and they're all looking for spots. Jamie can play in midfield so he's an option."
Cornish-born Lowry began his career with Chesterfield signing as an apprentice in 2003.
In 2006, he was given his first professional contract and went on to make more than 120 appearances for the Spireites, scoring 11 goals.
Last season, having played two early-season games for Chesterfield, he joined Crewe Alexandra on loan.
At Crewe, Jamie enjoyed a run of first-team football, playing ten times for the Railwaymen, including a ten minute cameo in our 3-2 defeat at Gresty Road.
In January, Lowry was recalled to the B2Net Stadium and made a further four appearances for Chesterfield.
Lowry has been handed the number 16 shirt.
