Moving On

CARL Fletcher hopes that Nick Chadwick will learn from the pre-season sending-off that will see him sit out Tuesday night’s visit to Truro.

Chaddy, 29, was dismissed during Saturday’s 5-0 defeat by Yeovil at Dorchester after clashing with Glovers’ defender Byron Webster.
“Everybody reacts at some times in their life in the heat of the moment, and we all do things we probably shouldn’t do,” said Fletch.
“So it’s a case of learning from it and getting on with it.
“He knows he shouldn’t have done it. No matter how old you are, you still make mistakes in life and you just have to learn from them.”
It had originally been thought that Nick would be suspended for Argyle’s opening Capital Cup encounter with Portsmouth and first two npower League 2 games.
However, a recent change to the rules means he is banned only for Tuesday night’s visit to Truro, although Fletch did not rule out the likelihood of additional internal club discipline.
He said: “It’s a relief for him - you don’t want to go through the whole of pre-season and then miss the first three games.
“We didn’t catch it clearly on camera, but I’ve seen enough. I’ll keep my opinions to myself, and I’ll speak to Chaddy and we’ll go from there.”
