Wottsy Returns For Weston

ARGYLE’S pre-season is now in full swing with Friday’s trip to Weston-super-mare marking their third fixture in just six days.

So far, manager Carl Fletcher has been insistent on playing everybody available in both the 5-0 defeat to Yeovil and the 1-0 victory over Truro but insists as time goes by, he will be deciding on a more regular squad.
“Obviously the closer we get to the 14th, the more settled we will want to be,” he said.
“We will wait and see who that is over the next few games but we’ll start with Weston tomorrow and go from there.”
Fletch has mentioned throughout the pre-season that he is trying to get everybody to the same level of fitness ahead of the Capital One Cup tie with Portsmouth, so competition for places is fierce.
So far, Warren Feeney, Paul Wotton and Durrell Berry have missed the pre-season fixtures with injury, but Fletch says there is a chance they could feature tomorrow night.
Carl said: “Feeno (Warren Feeney) and Wottsy (Paul Wotton) will probably be involved providing there are no flare-ups tonight or tomorrow.
“In every game we’ve played so far, we’ve rotated so everyone has had a similar amount of minutes.
“It’s about getting fitness and minutes under your belt so if we can play as many of them as often as possible then it's good.”
