Get Up And Gulls

ARGYLE go into Saturday’s home game against npower League 2 surprise package Port Vale on the back of a three-game unbeaten run.

Last weekend’s 0-0 draw against Torquay at Plainmoor followed a home victory over Northampton and a 1-1 Capital One Cup stalemate at Championship Burnley.

“It was a decent performance and a real tough game for us away from home,” said manager Carl Fletcher.

“On another day, we could have got all three points, but we got a good clean sheet.”

The point gained by the Pilgrims means Argyle are sitting prettier in League 2 than this time last season, and their style of play is pleasing Fletch, too.

“The boys showed a lot of bravery to try and get the ball down and do the right thing,” he said.
