Winging It

ARGYLE manager Carl Fletcher is blessed with wide options but insists that it will be horses for course as far as playing them is concerned.

Andres Gurrieri, Johnny Gorman, Joe Lennox and even Paris Cowan-Hall make up the Pilgrims’ winged quartet but Fletch insists that he will only play a system that incorporates them when the time is right.

Carl said: “We just try and pick the team that's going to give us the best chance to win the game.

“Sometimes we look at who they'll come up against; or the style of play that we want play; or a certain job that that wide man will have to do.

“So there's lot of different reasons why we pick players.“

In the last few matches, Zimbabwean international Onismor Bhasera has been the man selected for the job on the left and, as Fletch explains, the native left-back has certainly impressed.

“I don't think even Baz knows what he's going to bring you," joked Carl.

“But you know with him that he's quick, he's strong, he's powerful and at times, a little bit off-the-cuff but that's something we can use to our advantage.”
