Keynsham Dev 0 Argyle Ladies 10 (Ten)

THE Argyle Ladies thrashed Keynsham Development a whopping 10-0 in a victory that was as easy as the score suggests.

The biggest surprise was that it took 19 minutes to open the scoring, when Katie Middleton converted a ball from the left wing.

Two more goals in the next five minutes, a stunning drive from full back Eden May that left the keeper no chance, and a Middleton header from a Rachel Javan cross confirmed Argyles superiority.

Middleton completed her hat trick just before the break with a tap in after the home keeper failed to hold a Nicky Lake drive.

The second half was only four minutes old when Middleton found the net again for her fourth.

Despite having all the possession, chances came and went at regular intervals and it was a further 20 minutes until Emily Mousley opened her account after a flick on from Middleton.

Three minutes later, Chloe Bassett cut in from the left wing and netted from a narrow angle.

Number eight was a Mousley tap in from Sarah Stacey pass before Mousley completed her hat trick with a crisp low drive to the keepers left.

Sarah Stacey rounded off the scoring when she controlled an Ellie Dorey cross and shot firmly home from the six yard line.

The girls will have a stiffer challenge next weekend when they visit third placed Forest Green Rovers.

Having beaten Rovers in the FA Cup, the girls will be looking for a similar outcome.
