Steve the Ref

STEVE Bratt will be the referee for Argyle's FA Cup with Budweiser second round tie against Welling United.

So far this season Mr Bratt has taken charge of eight games, producing only eleven yellow cards. In no game has he awarded more than two cautions. He has sent off one player - David Connolly of Portsmouth - who subsequently admitted that the decision was a fair one. He has also given one penalty in that time.

Mr Bratt has been in the middle for two previous Argyle fixtures. He was the referee for our 2-1 defeat at Oxford United at the beginning of last season, cautioning Onismor Bhasera, Durrell Berry and Robbie Williams in the process.

His only visit to Home Park ended with Argyle the 2-1 victors against Queens Park Rangers.  That game saw Mr Bratt issue ten yellow cards, including seven to the opposition. He also awarded a last-minute penalty, from which Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scored the winner. Mikele Leigertwood was also sent off following the goal.
