John's Magic Number

JOHN Sheridan has come up with a points tally that he thinks will keep the Pilgrims safe but he is keeping it close to his chest.

Still unbeaten as Argyle manager, the former Ireland international was coy when questioned on the exact figure.

“It might be the kiss of death,” joked John.

“I’ve got points tally in my head that I think will be safe and I’ve got a points tally of what I’d like to get from each month.

“My staff know, the players don’t know, but I think it’ll keep us safe.”

So far, John has won two and draw two of his four games in charge, three of which have come at Home Park.

“Eight points from 12 is not bad,” he admitted.

“Two points from each game is promotion form and we’re playing to that standard and we’re getting results but, I keeping saying it, I’d like us to play better.

“There still is that bit of nervousness, even from my self – I get edgy - because we know how massive the result are for us if we can win games.

“We’ve just got to keep picking points up from games and everything will take care of itself.”
