Banton Excites Sheridan

ARGYLE manager John Sheridan was delighted with the capture of what he believes will be a 'very, very exciting player'.

Crystal Palace winger Jason Banton became Sheridan's sixth signing since taking charge of the Pilgrims in early January and is looking forward to seeing what the 20-year old can do.

John said: “Jason is a young player and he’s been at some really good clubs.

“I’ve seen clips of him and spoke to one or two people who know him and he can be a very, very exciting player.

“I think it’s important that we try and get a player who is going to gain us that ground 30-40 yards up the pitch quickly and he’s a player who will get at people.

“He’s highly recommended and he’s hopefully going to excite us and get us that momentum attacking wise, give us a lift and hopefully play at a high tempo."

Having previously stated that he was not looking to make anymore signings, John hopes that Jason's arrival will give the rest of his players a lift.

“I think it’s important that I try and bring players in to give us a lift," he said.

"They give us that new lease of life and it’s about bedding.

“I’m going to throw them in there and they have to be ready and hopefully Jason will come in and add to what we’ve got.”
