If You Believe...

“BELIEVE” has been a well-used mantra around Home Park these past few years. It is one John Sheridan would like to instil in his players.

The Argyle manager sees a lack of confidence in the Pilgrims that he needs to work hard on as they embark on another fight to stay in the Football League.

Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home to Accrington left the Greens too close to the bottom of League 2 for comfort and John admitted: “It feels like a defeat.

“I know we can play a lot better than that, but I can talk all day – it’s about getting the belief in the players.

“It’s going to be hard to try and get confidence into the players. We are trying our best.

“We want them to believe they can win games.”
