Lennox Leaves Us

JOE Lennox is leaving the Pilgrims after the club decided not to renew his short-term contract.

The 21-year-old midfielder came to Home Park a year ago, signing until the end of last season after being released by home-town club Bristol City.

He agreed a new six-month deal at the beginning of this season, which expired last month.

However, that was extended for a further month to allow new manager John Sheridan to run the rule over him.

During his year with the Pilgrims, Joe made seven starts and another 15 appearances from the substitutes' bench, scoring one goal - a memorable equaliser in last month's 1-1 draw at Exeter.

Releasing Joe at this stage of the season allows him to seek another club outside of the restrictions of transfer-window deadlines.

Everyone at Argyle thanks Joe for his contribution to the cause and wishes him well in his future career.
