Argyle Unseeded

THE Pilgrims will be unseeded in the first round of this season's Capital One Cup.

The draw takes place at 9.30am on Monday and you can find all of the reaction right here at www.pafc.co.uk.

The first round draw is seeded, based on the final league positions of teams from the 2012-13 season, and then split regionally - north and south.

As an unseeded side, Argyle must face a seeded side from the southern section of the draw, including Championship sides AFC Bournemouth, Birmingham City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic, Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Millwall, Queens Park rangers, Watford or Yeovil Town.

Should we be drawn away, the further we would have to travel would be to Ipswich Town, with just under 327 miles separating Home Park and Portman Road.

Meanwhile, the shortest permutation would see us meet Yeovil Town at Huish Park.

Last season, the Pilgrims made it to the second round of the competition, losing out to Burnley on penalties having beaten Portsmouth in the first round.

Here are the options for Monday's first round draw. Ties will take place w/c Monday, August 5.
