ACADEMY manager Kevin Hodges has thanked the Argyle Foundation for its continuing support of the Pilgrims’ youth set-up.The Foundation, set up in 2009 to help raise money for the club’s academy whilst at the same time earn money for its members, have enabled Kevin and his team to provide facilities and opportunities for Argyle’s stars of the future that they other may not have been able to afford.
Throughout the 2012-13 season, the Foundation donated funds to purchase;
Training and medical equipment to help with injury rehabilitation;
• an overnight trip for a Football League Youth Alliance fixture with Oxford United;
• the initial deposit on this summer’s Milk Cup trip;
• the cost of extra goalkeeping tuition;
• and equipment to ensure safe viewing areas at our Academy schoolboy matches.
In times of heightened financial pressure, Kevin was delighted with the contribution from the Foundation and more specifically, its members.
Kevin, pictured above with Foundation Administrator Carl Winson, said: “I would like to express our ever grateful thanks to the Foundation for the continuous financial support they have given the Academy throughout the 2012/13 season.
“The running of such an enterprise is a challenge; however through the help of the foundation we are able to provide a first class programme to enable our youngsters to develop their potential.
“Please be assured that all donations the Foundation has made will have directly assisted our Academy in the day to day running of the programme.”
