Philippines Appeal

WE have joined forces with Cornish-based international disaster relief charity ShelterBox at this weekend’s game with Dagenham & Redbridge to hold a collection for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan, which struck the Philippines on November 8, affected more than 10m people.

Money raised from the collection being held at Saturday’s Sky Bet League 2 match will go towards ShelterBox’s Emergency Appeal.

ShelterBox Response Teams are in-country working to bring emergency shelter and other essential aid items such as water filtration equipment, blankets and groundsheets to families in the affected areas.

The charity is committed to providing aid to at least 4,000 families and has launched an emergency appeal to raise vital funds to help these families in desperate need.

If you would like to support their work in the Philippines, you can do so by texting RELIEF to 70500 and donate £5 to help ShelterBox provide emergency shelter and lifesaving aid to Typhoon Haiyan survivors.*

ShelterBox was established in 2000 and has responded to 200 disasters in 86 countries. They have a network of over 240 volunteer Response Team members who deliver ShelterBox aid all over the globe.

Thank you for your support.
