CLUB President Chris Webb explains why you should get to Home Park a little earlier this Saturday...

This Saturday offers Argyle supporters a first-hand opportunity to question the people that lead our great club. Chairman James Brent and Chief Executive Martyn Starnes, together with representatives of Akkeron and the Argyle Board, will be present to address fans and take any questions that you may have.

The meeting will take place at 10.30am in the Green Taverners Suite at Home Park and is open to all Argyle fans. When I think back to previous owners the silence was often deafening. Now we have a Chairman and owner that is willing to meet supporters groups up and down the Country, take part in online Q&As and address mass meetings at any time.

The latest event comes at an important time for Argyle with the team starting to show green shoots of recovery on the pitch and the news off the pitch, including the Higher Home Park Development, moving at pace.

The majority of Argyle supporters simply want to see a winning team in green on the pitch entertaining us every week. It is vital though that, as fans, there is an effective and constructive challenge to the Club at all times. Saturday is a chance for you to ask any questions you want on any Argyle related subject. There will be no pre-arranged questions, no practised answers. Everyone will have the chance to question James Brent and the club's leaders.

Sometimes in this part of the world we are slow in coming forward. We waste opportunities. We shrug our shoulders and say ‘nothing will ever change’. This will always be the case unless we actually do something about it and take the chances that come our way. This meeting has been set up to give Argyle fans a platform to speak directly to the Club. Let’s not waste it.

Whether you want to ask about the new stand, the team, the colour of next season’s kit or even that old favourite, the match day buses; get along to the meeting.

See you there.
