Keen On Cox

JOHN Sheridan has confirmed he is interested in bring Lee Cox back to Home Park.

The 23-year-old Swindon midfielder, who played against Argyle as a substitute in Tuesday’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie, spent a successful 10-game loan spell with the Pilgrims at the end of last season.

That was curtailed by injury and, with Lee fully recovered, Argyle have spoken to the Wiltshire League 1 side about a similar temporary arrangement this season.

“Everyone knows Coxy did well for us,” said John. “The fans liked him; I liked him. He was good in and around the dressing-room, did well for us, and enjoyed his time here.

“Everyone knows I’m interested in him but, when you are doing a deal, it has got to suit both parties. [Swindon] know our interest. Lee needs to play games and he’ll get that here, but the finances have to be right.”
