Now For The Derby

SATURDAY sees Portsmouth visit Devon for a 12.15pm kick off in front of the Sky television cameras – and in front of an expectant Home Park faithful.

After a loss against Exeter last Saturday, this Dockyard Derby is a chance for Argyle to rejuvenate their season against another old rival.

“Football is all about enjoyment,” said assistant manager Gary Owers.  “For the players and for the supporters.

“But you only get that when you are winning. We’re not winning, and we can feel everyone’s disappointment. The only way we can remedy that is by winning.

“We need a win, we know that. There’ll be a great atmosphere because the supporters want us to win. Let’s give them something to cheer about.

“We’re going to be on show on Saturday, in front of the cameras and in front of the nation. I’m sure all the players are looking forward to that.

“Let’s hope we can put on a good performance and get everyone smiling again.”
