The Michael Foot Memorial Supper

ONE of the most famous of all Pilgrims – and a favourite son of Plymouth – is to be honoured at Home Park next month.

The Michael Foot Memorial Supper will have a stellar Argyle guest-list, including the likes of Tommy Tynan, Paul Sturrock and Neil Warnock – and you could join them.

The supper for the former Labour Party leader and man of letter takes place on Friday, November 1 – the night before Argyle’s home game against Northampton Town – in the Green Taverners’ Suite at Home Park.

Also attending the special event in honour of former director and lifelong Argyle fan Michael will be former players Johnny Hore, Michael Evans and Steve Davey; MPs Oliver Colvile and Nia Griffith, the Shadow Minister for Wales; and current Argyle director Peter Jones.

Fans wanting to join them can do so for just £20 a head, which includes a table finger-buffet with cheeseboard and wine.

The evening will include guest speakers, a raffle and auction, and starts at 7.30pm.

Also in November, on Saturday 23, after the Pilgrims’ game against Dagenham & Redbridge, the Green Taverners’ Suite will be hosting Nikkk’s November Night.

Doors open at 7.30pm for 8pm for a night which promises top live entertainment, local and international, special guests, auctions and raffles.

Tickets, which include food in the form of hot filled rolls, are also £20 each. Tables of eight and ten are also available.
