Bad Losers

JOHN Sheridan would no doubt prefer that his players learn to be good winners but he would settle for his second option.

“I want them to be bad losers,” said John, in the wake of Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat by Wycombe.

“When they are losing, I want them to make it as hard as possible for the opposition and we did not make difficult for them today – we went down very softly in our attempts to get back into the game.

“We’re going to be up and down all season, but, when you play at home, you have to have [courage].

“You have to get on the ball, express yourself and cause the opposition problems, and don’t worry about making mistakes.”
