Mick the Ref

MICK Russell will be the man in charge of Saturday’s Sky Bet League 2 match between Argyle and Oxford United.

The game, between two play-off chasers, will be the 24th time that Mr Russell has officiated a match this season, where he has brandished 60 yellow cards, two reds and awarded four penalties.

The Herefordshire born referee has presided over Argyle on 11 occasions in the past, most recently during last season’s league match against Accrington Stanley at Home Park, which finished 0-0.

The Greens have a fairly favourable record when Mr Russell has been the man in the middle, only losing two games whilst he has been in charge. In all of his games in charge of the Pilgrims, he has given us two penalties, and awarded one against us.
