Good Golly, Missed Ollie

OLLIE Norburn returns to the Argyle squad this Saturday with manager John Sheridan admitting the young central midfielder’s presence has been missed.

Ollie, 21, was absent from the 1-1 midweek draw against Stevenage, when the visitors’ physicality had a big affect on the Pilgrims’ midfield, having started all three Argyle games this season, including last weekend’s 3-0 demolition derby performance against Exeter.

John said: “You have got to have someone who is going to be comfortable and get on the ball, and get us started playing in deep areas and moving the ball a little bit quickly.

“Probably we did miss him, but I still expected the players who went out on the pitch to do that.
We probably had six or seven doing that on Saturday.

“When the game’s tight, you need that player who is going to be at the nub of things in the middle of the park and get the team playing.”

Ollie is part of a 19-strong party that heads to Greater Manchester for Saturday’s Sky Bet League game at Bury, with winger Nathan Thomas also added to the 17 on duty against Stevenage.
