Portsmouth U18 1 Argyle U18 2

ARGYLE'S youngsters have found that winning habit as they followed up last weekend's 3-0 success at Cheltenham by coming from behind in this Football League Youth Alliance encounter.

The first half was a very even affair and it was not until on the hour that the first goal arrived as Conor Chaplin beat Andrew Hannah with a left-foot drive that squirmed under the Argyle goalkeeper.

Pompey put pressure on Argyle after the goal but the Pilgrims defence held firm and they were back on level terms eight minutes from time.

Jake Miller had come on as a 70th minute substitute and it was his corner that found Will Sargent scoring with a bullet header that flew into the home goal.

Sargent was involved in Argyle's winner, which arrived in the second minute of stoppage time, as he rose at the far post to head the ball back for Miller to spectacularly volley home from 25 yards.
